Old computers could also be donated to groups that are not for profit. They get them repaired so they work well, and then give them to folks who need a computer, but cannot afford one. In many situations, many people merely want a new computer although the old one is still operational. While they get the latest model, they can give it to someone who might still have use for an older model. You can also get a tax deduction on an older pc if you donate it. While there may be an issue with the information that is on your pc but you can visit your local repair shop to help you with that. For a small charge, they are able to remove your data or may do it for free if you say you are donating it.
